The villa is located at the beginning of the prestigious viale del Poggio Imperiale, a green residential area. The avenue starts from the Piazzale di Porta Romana, where are the ancient medieval walls that enclose the old city of Florence (Unesco heritage) and it ends at the Medici "villa del Poggio Imperiale" (Unesco heritage). Along the walls of Porta Romana is one of the entrances to the Boboli Gardens and the Pitti Palace. In Piazzale di Porta Romana and Via Senese, the ancient Via Cassia to Siena, there are numerous shops. At piazzale Porta Romana there are bus stops to the historic center and to the train station Santa Maria Novella. Also, bus stop for buses going outside Florence, in the direction of Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and other locations of the Chianti.
